Das bewegte Wasser des Bildes symbolisiert Karma (Handeln); der Lotos symbolisiert Bhakti (Hingabe); und die aufgehende Sonne Jnana (Erkenntnis). Die zwei Schlangen, die das Bild umfassen stehen für Yoga (Vereinigung mit Gott) und die erwachte Kundalini (an der Basis der Wirbelsäule zusammengerollte spirituelle Energie), während der Schwan für Paramatman (das Höchste Selbst) steht.
Deshalb veranschauliicht das Symbol, dass durch Karma, Jnana, Bhakti und Yoga die Vision des Paramatman erlangt wird.
